Terminal Coworking

Davit Aghmashenebeli Ave. 73a · Tbilisi

Most Bitcoin directories focus on bars and cafes. Terminal Coworking is different — it is a place to work. Accepting Bitcoin for desk space and memberships is practical: it serves people already using Bitcoin day-to-day, and it does not require any special integration with card terminals or payment processors.

Understand Bitcoin.
Use it with confidence.

Practical, first-principles guides for using Bitcoin in everyday life — written for Georgia.

How to Buy Bitcoin in Georgia

Georgia has a relatively open environment for Bitcoin. You can acquire it through peer-to-peer exchanges, local sellers, or international platforms that serve Georgian users. The approach you choose affects your privacy and custody options.

P2P Options

Peer-to-peer platforms allow you to buy directly from other individuals using local payment methods including bank transfer, cash, and mobile payment. These platforms often allow purchases without extensive identity verification, though this varies by seller.

Key Principles

  • Do not leave Bitcoin on an exchange. Withdraw to a wallet you control.
  • Understand what KYC data you're sharing and with whom.
  • Start small. Learn the mechanics before buying meaningful amounts.
  • A purchase on a P2P platform is not the same as taking custody.

After Buying

Buying Bitcoin and holding Bitcoin are two different skills. Once purchased, move funds to a wallet you control. See the storage guide below for how to do this safely.

What is the Lightning Network?

The Lightning Network is a payment protocol built on top of Bitcoin. It enables near-instant payments at extremely low cost — fractions of a cent — by conducting transactions through payment channels rather than recording every transaction on the Bitcoin base layer.

Why it matters for spending

Most base-layer Bitcoin transactions take 10–60 minutes to confirm and carry fees that vary with network congestion. This makes small, everyday purchases impractical on-chain. Lightning solves this: a payment at a cafe happens in under a second and costs less than a fraction of a tetri.

How to use Lightning

  • Install a Lightning-capable wallet (Phoenix, Muun, Breez, or Zeus)
  • Fund it by sending Bitcoin from your on-chain wallet
  • Scan a merchant's Lightning QR code and pay
  • Some merchants may accept Lightning. Confirm directly with the business.

Is it safe?

Lightning is designed for spending, not long-term storage. Keep only what you intend to spend in a Lightning wallet. For larger holdings, use cold storage.

How to Store Bitcoin Safely

Self-custody means holding Bitcoin in a wallet where only you control the private keys. The phrase "not your keys, not your Bitcoin" reflects a fundamental truth: if someone else holds your keys, they hold your Bitcoin.

Hot vs Cold Storage

  • Hot wallet: Connected to the internet. Convenient for spending. Examples: Phoenix, Muun, Blue Wallet.
  • Cold wallet: Offline device. Suitable for long-term storage. Examples: Coldcard, Trezor, Foundation Passport.

Seed Phrase

Every wallet generates a seed phrase — 12 or 24 words that are the master key to your funds. Write it on paper. Store it somewhere physically secure. Never photograph it. Never enter it into any website or app that asks for it.

A practical approach

  • Small spending amounts: Lightning hot wallet (Phoenix or Muun)
  • Larger savings: hardware wallet with offline seed backup
  • Never store meaningful amounts on an exchange

What is BitcoinGeorgia.ge?

A directory of Bitcoin-accepting businesses in Georgia, maintained locally. Also the entry point for businesses that want to start accepting Bitcoin.

Purpose

BitcoinGeorgia.ge exists to make Bitcoin usable in Georgia — not as a financial product, but as a way to pay for things. We maintain a directory of businesses that accept it, provide guides for using it, and help merchants get set up.

Payments go directly between the customer and the business. We are not in the payment chain and do not take a percentage of any transaction.

Bitcoin only. We do not list altcoin payments, stablecoin settlements, or anything crypto-adjacent. The focus is narrow on purpose: where can you actually spend Bitcoin today.

Listing policy

Any business that accepts Bitcoin in Georgia may be listed. Listings are free. We source information from public directories, community reports, and direct merchant contact.

Listings start as community-reported and improve through direct confirmation and verification over time. Each listing carries a status indicating the source and confidence level of the information.

Inclusion in this directory does not imply endorsement by BitcoinGeorgia.ge. We make no warranty as to the accuracy of any listing. Verify acceptance with the merchant before visiting.

Status system

Every listing carries one of three status labels. These reflect how the information was obtained — not a quality judgment about the business.

🟡
Community reported Sourced from a public directory, community submission, or secondary reference. Not independently verified.
🔵
Merchant confirmed The business has acknowledged acceptance directly — via their own website, social media, or direct communication.
🟢
Verified by BitcoinGeorgia A member of the BitcoinGeorgia team has completed a test transaction at this location.

Bitcoin-only statement

This directory covers Bitcoin only. We do not list altcoin payments, stablecoin payments, NFT purchases, or any other crypto-adjacent product. The decision is deliberate and permanent.

If your business accepts only altcoins and not Bitcoin, we cannot list you here.
